Basic care tips
Water: rainwater, distilled, or reverse-osmosis water
How to water: bottom/tray method (add water in the saucer of the pot rather than top-water)
Soil mixture: peat + quartz sand or peat + perlite
Feeding: not required. But these plants love flies. You can also gently mist according to the instructions with some MaxSea diluted solution (see the general guide for this).
Grows best in: high-moisture environments, also grows well also under artificial lights with less humidity
Dormancy: This is a tropical plant; it does not go dormant, although it may slow its growth for a few months in winter.

Propagating Nepenthes from a cutting:
This is quite a long process. You start by cutting off the end of your branch, containing 3-4 nodes. You should cut in between nodes. Then you need to peel the bark off of the bottom where the cutting is, do this gently with a desinfected, sharp knife. When this is ready, peel off the cut parts a bit upwards, to expose the underlying white living tissue. See the pictures. Next, vut the leaves in half to minimize water evaporation, but still allow for some photosynthesis. Put the cutting in 100% long fibre moss or peat/sand mix and place in the same conditions as the mother plants. It is recommended to cover the plant for extra moisture until it roots. Rooting can take anywhere from 2-3 to 6+ months; you need to be very patient.
